You Asked, We Answered

What are Notions?

This phrase generally refers to the small instruments and accessories used to complete sewing projects. They include a wide range of materials, tools, and embellishments. This includes basic sewing supplies, such as needles, thread, pins, cutting, marking, measuring, and pressing tools. This also refers to the accessories attached to the sewing project, either for decoration or function, such as fasteners, trims, and tapes. Almost anything that helps you complete a sewing project can be regarded as a sewing notion.

How do I know my size?

Sizing is a science that no one can truly master, especially since stores and pattern makers all have a different idea about what each size looks like. Each person can be several different sizes. While standard sizes exist in the US, they are extremely loose. We offer a few charts to help you find your size.

What is your pricing?

We do charge for production by the piece, but it is of course calculated by time spent. Our production rate is $25/hr. so that we can pay a living wage to our employees and cover our overhead costs. We like to be up-front with our potential clients. We have low production quantities.  The best place for us to start for new production client is to first receive an image, and any target labor cost plus initial quantities. Following the original review, we will proceed with reviewing machine requirements and our ability to replicate the garment. From there we will schedule a meeting and review a project contract.

Pro tip: When you are taking your measurements, let the tape measure hang loosely against your body. Don't hold you stomach in, just remain relaxed and natural. Please use the guide below for reference.
